PrecisionTx® for Hyperhidrosis

Non-Surgical Body PrecisionTx® for Hyperhidrosis

Hyperhidrosis, also known as excessive sweating, negatively affects millions of people worldwide and can seriously hinder their self-confidence, social interactions, and more. The Langdon Center is proud to offer minimally invasive PrecisionTx® for excessive underarm sweating. Your hyperhidrosis never needs to hold you back again!

What is PrecisionTx® for Hyperhidrosis?

PrecisionTx® for hyperhidrosis treatment is a minimally invasive, safe solution to stop overactive sweat glands that cause underarm sweating. It uses laser technology to eliminate the axillary glands that cause sweating. Though the PrecisionTx® device is primarily used for facial rejuvenation and skin tightening, it has also proven to be an effective treatment for hyperhidrosis.

Other treatments for excessive sweating have only a temporary effect. One effective but temporary treatment is Botox® injections, which is a neurotoxin that can block chemical signals to the sweat glands. However, this effect only lasts a few months, so patients need multiple Botox® treatments a year.

PrecisionTx® for sweating, on the other hand, stops sweat glands utilizing laser energy delivered by a tiny fiber optic inserted into the skin. The laser energy coagulates and breaks down the tissues of the axillary glands to permanently prevent sweating.

Frequently Asked Questions

PrecisionTx® treatments for hyperhidrosis can be completed in less than one hour and require only a small skin incision with no stitches. The procedure is done under local anesthesia, so you won’t feel any discomfort.

First, we will clean and sanitize the treatment area. Then, Dr. Langdon will insert a tiny cannula with a laser fiber at the tip into the skin’s surface, specifically targeting the sweat glands responsible for excessive sweating. The laser heats these sweat glands to a precise temperature so they are effectively destroyed and lose their ability to produce sweat.

PrecisionTx® is a quick solution for hyperhidrosis that requires minimal recovery time. You may have slight swelling and incision at the incision site, which should resolve within a few days. Most patients need little to no downtime after PrecisionTx® treatments, so you can immediately return to your daily activities. Dr. Langdon will give you aftercare instructions for keeping the area clean and helping the skin heal.

You will only need one PrecisionTx® treatment for fast, long-lasting results. Patients often see improvements in as little as one week. These results will continue to improve, with optimal benefits in approximately six months. The PrecisionTx® laser permanently eliminates sweat glands to prevent hyperhidrosis, and most patients enjoy lifelong results.

Almost anyone suffering from hyperhidrosis and seeking a lifelong solution is a good candidate for PrecisionTx®. If excessive underarm sweating is a frequent source of embarrassment or frustration, this may be the treatment for you. Many patients with hyperhidrosis avoid certain social situations, frequently change clothing, or wear underarm pads to try and manage the condition.

PrecisionTx® can help you regain your confidence and freedom from underarm sweat and odor. During a detailed consultation, Dr. Langdon will help you determine if you’re an ideal candidate for this treatment.
