What is a Natural Breast Augmentation?
Breast implants do not appeal to everyone. The results are not always natural in look or feel, not to mention the disadvantages of rippling, rupture, or capsular contracture that may occur after implant placement. Also, many people prefer avoiding the placement of artificial silicone and plastics into their bodies.
Dr. Langdon is a proponent of natural breast augmentation, which corrects asymmetry, improves breast shape, and increases breast volume without saline or silicone implants.
How Does Natural Breast Augmentation Work?
Without implants, how are your breasts enhanced? By using your body’s excess fat, typically harvested from your abdomen or thighs. This allows for exceptionally natural results, while simultaneously enhancing the contours of your body.
To perform a natural breast augmentation, Dr. Langdon will gently suction donor fat using the Body-Jet liposuction system. This technology infuses saltwater into the fatty tissues. The fat is separated into clumps, which are then liposuctioned into a sterile container called the Lipo-Collector. The fat is then carefully prepared and purified, so only the most viable fat cells will be transferred into your breasts. Next, the fat is gently pumped through sterile tubing and a cannula, and the purified fat is injected into your breasts.
This fat harvesting and preparation method ensures a greater chance of cellular uptake by the fat cells reinserting themselves adjacent to a reliable blood supply. Your breasts are more voluminous and symmetrical. You will have natural, beautiful results without the telltale signs of breast implants.
Am I a Good Candidate?
If you would like to increase your breast volume but do not like the artificial appearance of breast implants and the results they achieve, a natural breast augmentation through fat transfer may be a good alternative for you.
Patients who desire a mild-to-moderate increase in breast size and who have enough excess fat in the abdomen or thighs for harvesting make the ideal candidates for natural breast augmentation. Schedule a consultation at The Langdon Center to get started.
