Am I a Candidate for CoolSculpting®?

January 23, 2021

CoolSculpting® is an FDA-approved fat reduction treatment that uses a special freezing mechanism to shrink fat cells in the targeted area. CoolSculpting® is an excellent non-surgical solution for patients who want to experience body contouring benefits without resorting to surgery.

Dr. Robert Langdon is proud to offer CoolSculpting® treatments for clients who want to shed body fat and fit more comfortably in their favorite clothes again.

How Does CoolSculpting® Work?

CoolSculpting® gets its body-contouring capabilities thanks to a freezing mechanism that delivers cold to fat tissue beneath the skin. This freezing process solidifies the fat layer and “crystallizes” the oil within the fat cells, which damages the cells and leads to their eventual removal.

Within a couple of months, the fat cells disappear , which translates to noticeable inch reduction at the treatment site.

Am I a Good Candidate for CoolSculpting®?

You’re a good candidate for CoolSculpting® if you have unwanted body fat around common treatment areas like:

  • The abdomen
  • Thighs (inner and outer)
  • Upper arms
  • Back
  • Chest (for men)
  • And more

The best candidates for CoolSculpting® treatments are individuals who are within 15 to 30 pounds of their ideal body weight. Candidates should already be following a healthy lifestyle, as CoolSculpting® cannot prevent the enlargement of remaining fat cells after treatment.

CoolSculpting® is not a weight-loss solution; rather, it’s an excellent choice for candidates who want to trim down unwanted fat and achieve a slimmer, leaner profile.

How Many Treatments Will I Need to See Results?

The number of CoolSculpting® treatments you will need may depend on how your body responds to each session. Most candidates need two  treatments to see maximal inch reduction; however, your results may vary.

Each CoolSculpting® treatment takes about one hour to perform. During this time, you can relax and catch up on emails, read a book, or even nap. There’s no downtime after treatments, although you may have some minor swelling at the treatment site for a few days post-procedure.

My wife has had many treatments as a patient of Dr. Langdon’s, from 1995 to 2023. I can say she is always very excited and pleased with her results, and I felt secure knowing she was always in good hands. Dr. Landon and his staff treated her with the highest degree of expertise, safety, respect, and communication before, and following each procedure. She gets many compliments on her face, and with Dr. Langdon’s help she has remained very young looking. She looks forward to treatments with the most talented Cosmetic Surgeon, Dr. Langdon and staff, and never hesitates to recommend this office for all the newest and best cosmetic treatments. We always knew how much this office strives to be the very best in every treatment performed. You cannot go wrong trusting Dr. Langdon’s vast experience and knowledge. Many thanks!! 5 stars always!!!
