Large breasts can cause emotional and physical distress. You can relieve yourself of this burden with a breast reduction procedure. This minimal-incision procedure decreases breast volume to ease back pain and gives you a new level of confidence. Dr. Langdon performs No-Scar breast reduction to avoid large incisions and scars and to let you heal more quickly.
What is Breast Reduction?
Large breasts are more than an aesthetic issue. They can cause significant discomfort, keep you from engaging in many activities and make you self-conscious. Breast reduction removes excess fat to decrease breast size. A traditional breast reduction includes a large incision under the breast and surgical removal of excess breast tissue, fat and skin. This incision will leave a significant and visible scar.
Can I Get a Breast Reduction Without Scars?
You can have a breast reduction that leaves no visible scars. Dr. Langdon performs a No-Scar breast reduction. This procedure is an excellent choice for women who want to reduce breast size without scarring.
During the procedure, your breasts are numbed with a tumescent anesthetic solution. Micro-cannulas, small blunt instruments, are inserted and used to break up and remove excess fat gently. The incisions used for these tiny instruments are so small that they do not need sutures after the procedure. Although this procedure does not remove loose skin, most women will see their skin rebound and contract with the excess weight removed.
If you want a more noticeable lift, you might prefer a traditional breast reduction. This makes a good option for those who want more dramatic results and do not mind visible scars. This method also comes with a longer recovery time.
What are the Benefits of Breast Reduction?
Breast reduction can change your life in many ways. Many women feel more confident and free to do things they would have avoided. Benefits include:
- Relief from the shoulder, back, and neck pain
- Visible reduction in breast size
- Easier to find stylish, comfortable clothes
- Engage in sports or jogging without discomfort
- Avoid an unwanted focus on your breasts
- Improve your posture
How Much Does Breast Reduction Cost?
The cost of breast reduction varies widely. Factors that affect pricing include your location, your surgeon, and the type of surgery. Because No-Scar breast reduction is less invasive, it may not be comparable to the cost of a traditional procedure. On average, breast reduction costs $5,913, but your price may be higher or lower.
What is Recovery Like After Breast Reduction?
Recovery after No-Scar breast reduction happens rapidly. Most people can return to work and their usual activities after two to three days. Dr. Langdon will give you other post-surgical instructions to ensure you heal quickly. If you have a traditional breast reduction, you can expect a week or more of recovery before returning to normal activities.
I had 3 treatments with the PicoSure laser to remove 2 black ink tattoos. The tattoos are 20 years old and located on my ankle and lower back. I previously had 12 treatments with a qswitch laser at Cornell and almost gave up as the results were poor in my case. The PicoSure laser at Dr. Langdon’s office was the exact opposite experience. There is much less pain and discomfort with a much quicker recovery time than my Cornell qswitch experience. I hardly noticed any pain after the procedure and even the next day there was no need to address a wound like I did with the Cornell qswitch treatments. The results are unbelievable and the tattoos are now greatly diminished. I anticipate 2 more treatments to completely remove the visible elements of the ink. I also feel the treatment price is fair due to the high cost of this cutting edge laser. It has been a wonderful experience and I would recommend the Langdon center to anyone removing an unwanted tattoo. I was getting very discouraged in the past and the PicoSure laser treatments gave me faith that I will finally be able to remove my tattoos.
