During my May 12 visit with Connecticut Style, I discussed several questions viewers should ask when considering a facelift and when evaluating what type of facelift procedure is best for them. For example, a minimal incision procedure, in which the scars are barely detectable, heals in a very natural way. I also advised that someone considering a facelift should ask about the type of anesthesia that will be used. Local anesthesia has the advantage of greatly reducing bruising and swelling, which will speed the recovery. Liposuction of the neck and jowl area can greatly enhance the appearance of the neck because it will reduce excess volume, especially beneath the chin. To learn more about the “six important questions” to ask about facelifts and to see some before and after pictures of my actual facelift patients, please take a few moments to view the Connecticut Style segment.
