In a recent blog article on NewBeauty.com, photos of 23-year-old Nashville star Hayden Panettiere were featured along with speculation about the noticeable, unnatural rippling of the tissue on her chest.
New Beauty guessed that Hayden most likely had recently underwent breast augmentation with saline implants that were placed “too close to the midline of her sternum…leaving the implants directly under the skin with less soft tissue coverage to soften the wrinkling.”
Unfortunately, correcting this problem is not easy and if not addressed, the rippling can worsen over time. Oh no!
New Beauty’s doctors recommended a revision breast augmentation surgery right away to change the saline implants for more natural looking silicone and to reposition them under the muscle.
“Traditional breast augmentation, which uses silicone or saline implants, is effective at increasing breast size but can often produce results that look artificial, especially if done too aggressively. Implants can result in overly rounded breasts with noticeable borders between the implant and the surrounding chest,” says Dr. Langdon, “Rippling like Hayden’s is all too common.”
Here at The Langdon Center, we’re proud to offer an alternative to breast implant surgery known as Natural Breast Augmentation. Instead of using implants, in this procedure a patient’s own fat is used to increase breast size. Results look natural —with no risk of rippling — because no artificial materials are placed in the body.
During Natural Breast Augmentation, a special liposuction method is used to remove unwanted fat from problem areas, such as the thighs, abdomen or flanks. The harvested fat is then purified and used as a fat graft to permanently increase the size of the breasts.
In addition, Natural Breast Augmentation is done using only safe, local anesthesia (in the breasts as well as the “donor” areas) resulting in considerably less downtime than traditional breast augmentation surgery.
