Bellafill® at The Langdon Center: Erase the Appearance of Wrinkles and Scars
Safe & Simple/Long-Lasting/Noticeable Results
Bellafill® has been shown to improve the look of:
- Wrinkles and indented scars
- Nasolabial and marionette folds
- Facial volume loss
Bellafill® is a unique dermal filler that includes biocompatible, proprietary PMMA microspheres to provide immediate lift and improve the appearance of deep folds, wrinkles and acne scars. PMMA is a polymer that has been used safely for many years in implantable medical devices. Unlike other dermal fillers, these microspheres are designed to stay at their injected site and last for several years. The PMMA particles provide a stimulus to collagen production, which enhances the long-lasting results.
When injected into the nasolabial folds, Bellafill® results have been shown to last for five years. Bellafill® can also provide persistent improvement when used to correct acne and traumatic scars.
At The Langdon Center in Guilford, CT, Bellafill® injections take just a few minutes to administer. The injections can be carefully controlled, allowing Dr. Langdon to achieve the best results for his patient’s problem areas. Collagen gel provides immediate volumization, and final results can be seen within a few months. There is no downtime, although patients may experience some temporary redness, bruising, and swelling at the injection site.
Common Questions & Answers About Bellafill®
Where is Bellafill® commonly used?
Bellafill® is commonly injected in the nasolabial and marionette folds, which are the lines around the nose and mouth. It can also be injected into deep-set acne and trauma scars. Bellafill is very useful for adding volume to facial areas that can become “sunken in” with aging. These areas can include the temples, the “cheek hollows” and the area in front of the ears.
Am I a good candidate?
Bellafill® is safe and effective for all skin types and tones. Good candidates are those looking to address facial volume loss, deeper furrows around the nose and mouth, or indented acne scars.
How is Bellafill® administered?
Bellafill® is administered through injection with a fine needle or a microcannula. Injections are mildly painful; Dr. Langdon uses a numbing cream to help manage any discomfort.
What should I expect for results?
Results are immediate and long-lasting; deeper furrows are improved for five or more years. Patients can always return to The Langdon Center for maintenance injections.
What about side effects?
There’s no downtime, which means patients can go about their normal activities immediately following treatment. Some patients may experience redness, swelling, tenderness, or bruising at the injection site. These side effects usually fade within a few days after the procedure.
How much does Bellafill® cost?
Bellafill® costs are determined during the initial consultation.
